American Teletimer® Corporation History
We are a family owned and operated business founded in New York City in 1938. The sole business of our company at that time was to provide the first accurate, dependable electronic timing system to Thoroughbred and Standardbred racetracks, displaying fractional and finish times on a Teletimer® wing(s) of the tote board. We at American Teletimer Corp. take pride in providing our clients with the most accurate, state of the art timing, photo finish and CCTV services in the industry. Teletimer® is our federally registered trademark. American Teletimer Corp. expanded its operation to include offering photo finish services in 1987 as we observed a need for our high quality service and operations in this area. A further expansion was undertaken in 1999 to include our same high quality of service to closed circuit TV systems. Most importantly, we consider ourselves to be a service company first, and a timing, photo finish & CCTV company afterwards.
As our client list has continued to grow, for the past 40+ years, our timing and photo finish systems have been used exclusively at some of the most prestigious racing events throughout North America including the Kentucky Derby, Preakness (excluding Secretariat in 1976 as another company provided timing that year), The Belmont Stakes, Breeders Cup, Travers Stakes and many more.
